Please note that the following is a summary of key points that will be in the guide, and that they may change prior to the race day.

Wednesday, June 3
7:00 pm
Live Pre-Race Briefing
Location: Online via Zoom. The invite will be sent to all registered participants. Afterwards, a link will be posted to view the recorded briefing afterwards.

The Race Director and Technical Delegate (head official) will conduct a briefing online via Zoom. The event day's morning then afternoon events will be covered. Participants are welcome to submit questions via chat messaging during the presentation. 
 
Saturday June 6
9:00 am - Noon
Pick up race packages at Shoreline Orthodontics at 1530 Cliffe Ave Suite 100, Courtenay, B.C. Local participants are strongly recommended to get their race packages at this time to avoid delays checking in on Sunday morning/afternoon. Non-local participants can get their race package at check-in when it opens Sunday. 
2:00 - 3:00 pm
Optional venue and course orientation at Comox Valley Sports Centre, 3001 Vanier Drive, Courtenay in south parking lot. Get a preview overview of the race course layout and flow, and a chance to have questions answered. This is open to participants, parents, and volunteers.

Sunday June 7 – Race Day
7:00 - 7:30 am
Check-in and transition open for Standard distance (NOT FOR Teeny, Inbetweeny and Kids of ages 4 - 11).

Check-in and transition open for Sprint, Aquabike, Aquathlon, Just-Tri-It, Family Teams, Youth 12-15 (NOT FOR Teeny, Inbetweeny and Kids of ages 4 - 11)

Wave starts for Sprint, Aquabike, Aquathlon, Youth 14-15, Just-Tri-It, Family Teams, and Youth 12-13.

​Only for Adult, Junior, Youth/Older Kids ages 12-15: lunch, draws, awards (actual time is dependent on timing results). All hands on deck requested and appreciated to accelerate everything being put away and volunteers getting home at a reasonable time!

Venue Overview
  • Check in is in the main lobby of the Comox Valley Sports Centre building.
  • Swim to transition route is across a swept asphalt parking lot onto grass surface.
  • Transition bike exit to mount line route  is across grass, rubberized track, smooth gravel, and onto asphalt road.
  • Dismount to transition route is on same surfaces as above.
  • ​Run out will exit south into Vanier School grounds.
  • Finish will be on track in front of grandstand.
  • Team relay tent will house team members inside transition in the corner.
Bike Course for all morning events
  • ​Mount and dismount on Vanier Drive.
  • The bike course is open to traffic with traffic control personnel at key locations. At the start the road uses the road shoulder until passing Condensory Rd/Dove Creek Rd and continues on Dove Creek Rd until turnaround.
    • Standard distance also add Farnham Rd loops. 
  • Loop turnaround at signed indication for the various events, and return for the bike total distance.
    • ​Standard: 40 km
    • Sprint: 19 km
    • 14-15/BC Summer Games Qualifier: 12 km
    • 12-13, Family Team, Just-Tri-It: 7 km

Run courses for all morning events
  • Start at transition exit in field center area and follow paths to and from the direction of the Exhibition trails.
  • The run course surface will vary from graveled roads, to asphalt, to dirt forest trails (which, with rainfall, may be wet with muddy patches).
  • Run courses for each event are presented below.
